UK voters are ignoring Farage’s base instincts which are to make money and be the centre of attention. The media allow him to flit around but never pin him down. Given Reform are seriously being talked up you’d expect him to explain how he would actually govern but he’ll avoid detailed scrutiny.

63% supported this apparently but it was so poorly reported as if Badenoch was a genius! Of course people voted for abolition but the question requires a rather more complex answer involving reform of council tax and property taxes generally.

My hunch is that he wants to impress Reform voters and right wing followers via MAGA tactics. They no doubt believe a Muslim burning a bible would not be treated the same. So he’s posturing using this to self- promote. We don’t have blasphemy laws but we do have laws to protect against hate speech.

I have never really been a fan of England it brings out the worst in flag waving but as an observer it just seems there are too many ‘easy’ games & fans want to follow their clubs anyway.

Most countries impose a property tax of sorts and anyway taxes need to be considered alongside wider impacts. Simply announcing abolition without further detail is a cheap shot. If abolition meant council tax increases what would they say then?

Reform are the nice guy who rings you up & tells you to move your pension ‘a sure fire winner’ he says and you believe him. Later you realise your pension & your bank account have been cleaned out and he’s disappeared. It’s the age of the scam poundland Trump camp follower Farage!
