And most of them really need the benefits by the 1st of the month because the am't they receive barely gets them thru a month. Their cupboards are practically empty by the last week of each month.
Wow! I've never seen such colorful Walking Sticks. This one on the wall of my house is as pale as I've ever seen.
Buddy getting belly rubs. I've had him for 9 months but known him for 8 years. He is such a comfort since my sweet Bea passed away. He misses her too, so he gets extra TLC.
Nipple #cactus growing in my southwest U.S. back yard. I previously thought it was a barrel cactus. Never heard of them before and I have 5 of them in my yard. Fun to learn about a new plant. #mammillariaprolifera

Just picked mine up last week. I thought I had come to terms with the grief of losing my sweet Bea but burst into tears when they gave it to me. 💔 I'm so glad to have it.
I saw a ruby crowned kinglet yesterday. The red feathers on the top of their heads are usually hidden. I was outside walking my cat and the kinglet didn't like the cat. So it ruffled its head feathers at him. The sun was at a good angle to see the ruby red feathers nice and bright. It made my day!
She's such a treasure. I'm so glad she's here.

Absolutely! If you've never been to a protest, give it a try. Signs are optional. Just go and represent those who cannot go but wish they could.
The light on its tail is fabulous!
Include Border Control in this too since their territory seems to be the entire state/country. How many people have to be unnecessarily terrorized before our members of Congress are denouncing this LOUDLY every day?!
I love kingfishers. My mother gave me a gift of cross stitch she completed of a Belted Kingfisher.
Thanks! I'll give it a try.
New(ish) cat owner here. Is the cat nip under the towels? Or rubbed into the towels? I'd like to try this out!
I saw a female once. It took me forever to identify it 'cuz I'd never seen a painted bunting before and it was an unusual pale green. The female was on the very edge of its normal territory so I wasn't expecting to see it. Luckily it stuck around long enough to identify. Hope to see a male some day.
This is lovely. Her "paw print" is definitely on my heart. Thank you Freyja.
My sweet Bea has passed on from seizures due to a brain tumor. So much grief when a beloved pet dies. I found her at a shelter in FL and the 2 of us traveled the country in my little Casita camper full time for 7 yrs. My little road warrior. Miss you. 💔
So true. I just lost my sweet Bea 2 days ago to a brain tumor. Got her at a shelter at age 5 and traveled with her in a little travel trailer for 7 years. The grief is still heavy but the happy memories of all the trails we walked together keep me going. Old dogs are wonderful.
BHP + Dr. Zee content! It's time for me to join the members feed. Thanks for a great podcast!
I've been binging (bingeing?) on BHP episodes for the past year and just finished ep.483 yesterday while taking a long walk. I still had more walking ahead so I had no choice but to go back to ep. 1 and start over again. Looking forward to the new episode.
