This is just crazy. An inexperienced government makes a knee-jerk reaction and the taxpayers end up paying. It’s insulting to South Islanders too, as the importance of prioritising transport links between the North and South Island seems to have taken a back seat in their stuffing around.
I think Trump has early dementia. His statements contradict what he said five years ago and even a few days ago. He shows signs of aggression, paranoia and uncontrolled impulsiveness. He’s not making rational decisions.
No credit to Winston Peters who shows in his outbursts that he is losing mental acumen. His responses suggest mental decline as he seems to have lost the ability to respond rationally. Worrying for our country given he manoeuvred himself into the foreign affairs role when the coalition was formed.
Did she really just say this? "I don't think we should ever be lowering the bar in order for more people to pass ... it sets ourselves up to the next working class coming through with potentially not the skills to thrive.”
“Look, what I’d say to you is”……never commits to saying anything. It’s persistent use of that phrase that has caused me not to listen to him any more. It feels like another lecture or talking to is coming.
