Now I am working on finally getting out the article on Cavendish and Skepticism and also have another article on EDC on the writing board. And there might be something cooking regarding the French translation that Fredrick sent to Voltaire and EDC, but can't really talk about that too much yet. 😉

We will soon publish a Finnish article on the same topic in a forthcoming volume on Forgotten historical texts (eds. S. Kivistö & co). Other works coming out from me soon include an article on Margaret Cavendish's account of dreaming (part of my research project at Iowa from 2022-2024).

Writing the article with Jani was a real pleasure, especially when constructing detective work on how EDC came across Wolff's work (without spoiling the ending, I can tell you that Frederick the Great sent it as a French translation to Voltaire with whom EDC was working in tight collaboration).

I finally received a copy of Clara Carus's and Jeff McDonough's excellent book, including my and Jani Hakkarainen's article on the previously unrecognized influence of Christian Wolff's German Metaphysics on Émilie Du Châtelet's unpublished manuscript Sur la liberté (On Freedom, c. 1737).

My short story "The Collector" was included among Ellen Datlow's Best Horror of the Year (2023) Recommendations. Originally published in Finnish in Kuiskaus Pimeässä in 2020 it was later included in Cyäegha nro 25 in 2023, translated by Graeme Phillips.
