Both girls are wearing modern Fall attire and Merida is listening to Maxine talk about something excitedly as they walk along. A page from my webcomic Wayward. Merida just surfaced from the ocean, a couple of sea stars on the end of her spear. The girls chat a little about how to get them off of it while they eat their lunch. A moment passes, Maxine looking up at the sea stars. Merida intuits that she's considering eating the creatures and deadpans her opinion to not. Maxine stutters, having been caught with that intrusive thought. A page from my webcomic, Wayward. Maxine puts her hand above her eyes to get a better look down the hill as she says, "Home, sweet home." She notices another mouse walking down the dirt path pushing a wheelbarrow and gets a mischievous look on her face. She leans back and takes in a big breath as Merida looks at her with confusion, and yells out as loud as she can, "HEY MOM!" Her mother stops in her tracks, surprised.
