Not a member (nor do I disagree with the main contention) but im like 99% this isnt true.. afaik nowhere does DSA run it's own candidates but rather endorses others usually on the D line

They are not planning "a violent crackdown" on 10.18. What they are doing is sending a signal to their shock troops to try to cause havoc. But those shock troops will be vastly outnumbered. Go out and protest freely. Do not be cowed.

I have a (black South sider) friend through union work who was very anti "migrant," especially after a few drinks, before trump took office. Tbh im nervous to follow up on the conversation..

Even in the best case (for Rs) scenario where funding is restored and trump doesnt fuck up the W somehow, there's still everything else (and another year of goodies...) to run against in the midterms. I can only hope they won't hinge on this one particular issue
