NHC forecast track for #Melissa looks disastrous for Jamaica. 48+ hours on the right-hand side of a major hurricane? Yikes.

Wind damage would be substantial with this scenario, but I’m more concerned about the potential for literally FEET of rain. (Similar concerns for Haiti, just not as windy).

#BreakingNews: A protest is growing at the entrance to Coast Guard Island Thursday morning, where U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents appear to have arrived. They used flash bangs to break through the crowd to gain access to the base.
