I would like to see Hiromu retain here - not just because I don’t trust New Japan to do anything with him - but I think there are still legs to the outsider champion thing.

Sure he has won BotSJ 3 years running but he only convert 1 of those in to a belt win.

There are other people who are much more present (and dominant) in that division than him and yet no one seems to bitch as much

But the amount I see people bitch about him you’d think he’d was this dominant force controlling all of the belts. Since he came back from injury in 2021 he has won the Jr belt once. He’s never won the tag belt.

Like I get the division has revolved heavily around those two but Hiromu hasn’t even challenged for the belt since he lost it in Jan 2024, and frankly barely exist in the division outside of BotSJ and SJ tag league (which is actually a problem)
