This #TransDayofVisibility, my message is simple: we will not let them steal our joy.

Trans and non-binary people deserve to live full, authentic lives free from fear or discrimination – and my office will never stop fighting to make that a reality.

🚨The White House just issued an executive order to close the U.S. Department of Education. Eliminating ED or moving IDEA to another agency will be a step backward in serving those with disabilities.

Research into “safe vaccines” is going to fan vaccine fear because it suggests that there is a reason to reopen this shut case.

In the long term, this risks undermining the legitimacy of science because it suggests that science is *whatever* you want it to be.

Dozens of studies have failed to find evidence of a link. The decision to re-examine the question comes as a measles outbreak, driven by low vaccination rates, widens in Texas.

We are saddened and angered by Governor Newsom’s comments about transgender youth participation in sports. Right now, we need our elected officials to stand by the courage of their convictions.

The Governor’s comments are hurtful, and out of touch with our shared values as Californians.

In case you missed it, there is now a disclaimer at the top of the YRBS website…
I wish I had something more insightful and intelligent to say, but this new “warning” on federal websites like the YRBS is insane. I can’t believe we’re doing this.

Happy to report that APA wrote this letter, gathered a coalition across science, and will now pay for ads for it to be disseminated in Science and Chronicle of Higher Ed to spread the word!! unitedsciencealliance.org
