I don't care how good samples are. Having a real orchestra perform my stuff is the real dream. A performance by highly talented humans! Whatever I notate on the page, they play. None of this mixing and layering stuff. None of this sample stuff. Live musicians will always be the best! #composer

Exactly! I'll choose the tight deadlines of music composition any day. I have to admit though, I actually enjoy building email marketing campaigns, so if that was like a PT job for me, I wouldn't be feeling like I'm wasting away.

All valid points. I guess if people have a second joy they can make money from, it's a win. Kind of applies to me. If I had a PT job in email marketing, I'd be having fun and building a necessary skill.

When I first learned about @reelcrafter, I thought, why sign up for that when I can just cut my own audio and upload it to YouTube or Soundcloud? But after building my first reel on it, I now understand what the big deal is. Thanks @stevenmelin for the recommendation!

People say to use drum loops when composing, but my drum parts always have to line up specifically to my melodic or rhythmic lines, so I could NEVER use a pre-made loop.

It's amazing how much power the sun has. If I wake up before it rises, my morning is pretty much ruined from being tired. If I wake up with the sun, that morning is going to be great.

The amount of sleep I get is pretty much not related.
