Thank you! I always wondered.
We're on the same page. Mine is next to my laptop and doubles as a Zoom/Teams light. Currently riding the rising panic tonight and thinking that Aug bank hol was the same amount of time away from us now as the shortest day is, and then at least we'll be heading in the right direction.
Chances are you've never thought about how load-bearing structures are tested for circus aerial equipment.

Google pics has just reminded me that this time 3 years ago I was overseeing this when I was in fact working for a circus. That's a massive dumpy bag of sand the engineering co. were using.
I still have this on VHS! Wincey Willis (Wincey-poo) and Robbie Coltrane in the audience.

Dog bag! It's a bag you put your dog in!
Nothing sends a grimly unsettling chill down my spine like the phrase 'ah the nights are drawing in.'
🕰️Taking a deep breath today as tomorrow's regression to GMT from BST heralds two months of cold, dark bleakness followed by a month of bleakness accompanied by the consolation of heading back into the light and hopeful daffodils appearing in the supermarket. Let's try to be kind to ourselves.
Truly I feel betrayed by my childhood educators, spiritual leaders and family members. None of them even so much as hinted it would be like this.
Was on the verge of booking last month and then life rapidly turned to shit and I'm now wondering how I can afford both food and dogcare for while I work. Fingers crossed for next year. Glad it's going well.
Stop scrolling and post two characters who bring you happiness
I buy a single lottery ticket each week purely to have a dream that things might somehow get better.
My neighbour used to be really into it and until then I had no idea about the solid crotch shorts. Fascinating. I tend to run in joggers and a loose t-shirt rather than lycra as I am sausage-averse. 😆
They always look very pleased with themselves too and I'm like whatever makes you happy mate but you do look like a big electric blue sausage (and no, I'm not referring to *that*.)
Nice. The print on the dress reminds me of x rays.
It's certainly bringing a sense of theatre and spectacle back to shopping. Not what I would have expected but 10/10 for the element of surprise!
It's giving Gunther von Hagens
Virginia Giuffre was a person.

I can only imagine the pain that she carried and the level of bravery that it took for her to stand up and tell her truth in the face of such systemic power and corruption.

I hope her humanity doesn't get lost amid the revelations.
The Metropolitan Police said it is "actively" looking into media reports that Prince Andrew tried to obtain personal information about his accuser Virginia Giuffre through his police protection

Just taking a moment to appreciate that today David Attenborough is still sharing oxygen with us. ❤️
I want cellular blinds for their insulating properties in summer/winter, and ones that don't involve drilling into the frame. Love my glass roof though as I need all the light I can get in the kitchen. They don't do non-drill self-fit roof blinds, prob as the margin for error is high.
Enjoying the gen Xness of this.
Except the Sugababes brought some joy to the world.
Nice. I really need to switch my ingredients - currently eating Quorn, onion, mushroom and pepper curry as opposed to Quorn, onion, mushroom and pepper stir fry, or Quorn, onion, mushroom and pepper tomato pasta. Quite fancy some potatoes in this.
'Bricks flying in 4mation'. 😆 Good luck to you!

Everything is so expensive right now. I wonder what the 2025 market value for second hand human kidneys is?
I'd like motorised blinds for the conservatory roof, but a lot of reviews of the ones I was looking at said the motors failed after the warranty ran out and that they changed the design so couldn't get parts. Also the manual ones start at £3.1K for my style and size of roof. Eek!
Thank you. Multiple things are at a crossroads and I need to make some tough decisions whilst feeling quite adrift. Perhaps a bit of church sitting may be in order after all?
