We're on the same page. Mine is next to my laptop and doubles as a Zoom/Teams light. Currently riding the rising panic tonight and thinking that Aug bank hol was the same amount of time away from us now as the shortest day is, and then at least we'll be heading in the right direction.

Chances are you've never thought about how load-bearing structures are tested for circus aerial equipment.

Google pics has just reminded me that this time 3 years ago I was overseeing this when I was in fact working for a circus. That's a massive dumpy bag of sand the engineering co. were using.

A big A-frame ladder in a church hall kitted out with an aerial rig with a dumpy bag of sand hanging from it. There is multicoloured bunting all around. My finger is clumsily in shot!

My neighbour used to be really into it and until then I had no idea about the solid crotch shorts. Fascinating. I tend to run in joggers and a loose t-shirt rather than lycra as I am sausage-averse. 😆

I can only imagine the pain that she carried and the level of bravery that it took for her to stand up and tell her truth in the face of such systemic power and corruption.

I hope her humanity doesn't get lost amid the revelations.

I want cellular blinds for their insulating properties in summer/winter, and ones that don't involve drilling into the frame. Love my glass roof though as I need all the light I can get in the kitchen. They don't do non-drill self-fit roof blinds, prob as the margin for error is high.

Nice. I really need to switch my ingredients - currently eating Quorn, onion, mushroom and pepper curry as opposed to Quorn, onion, mushroom and pepper stir fry, or Quorn, onion, mushroom and pepper tomato pasta. Quite fancy some potatoes in this.

I'd like motorised blinds for the conservatory roof, but a lot of reviews of the ones I was looking at said the motors failed after the warranty ran out and that they changed the design so couldn't get parts. Also the manual ones start at £3.1K for my style and size of roof. Eek!

Thank you. Multiple things are at a crossroads and I need to make some tough decisions whilst feeling quite adrift. Perhaps a bit of church sitting may be in order after all?
