MAGA is starting to fracture into two basic factions: those who have some MAGA-type principles based in hate and prejudice, and those who have signed up for cult-like obedience to Trump. Not sure how this will play out, but it will at least put doubts in the minds of many Trump supporters.

This will accelerate the fracturing of the MAGA movement and leave the Emperor more naked than ever. He may even catch a political cold and, at his age, that could have dangerously unpredictable consequences.

It would indeed be highly ironic if America was ultimately saved by MAGA becoming alarmed by the Trump administration's totally unleashed corruption that threatened even their own well-being.

When (or if) a pro-rule of law government replaces Trump, what guardrails can be established or reinforced to prevent this crisis in the future? What can be done to remind Congressional representatives of their Constitutional responsibilities and strengthen their ability to abide by them?

"He can pretend that he’s been wildly successful." To be fair, he has been wildly successful -- at turning lies into political power. However, in terms of traditional American mythology, it would not be considered a classic success story inspiring films and statues. Hopefully, that remains true.

Johnson has become the face of MAGA milquetoast cowardice. When his country needed him most, needed him to be a leader with integrity, he shriveled up into a childish little ball and cowered behind his cult leader pleading with him not to spank his little behind.

Trump is trying to prosecute the very idea of an impartial and independent judicial system. It is so brazen and obvious that it will ultimately fail, but not without doing harm to America's trust in itself and its institutions.

The real 'war' is an information war or narrative war. The Orwellian disinformation campaign of the Trump administration must be constantly countered with real time images of reality. Make it inescapable that 'reality' actually exists and that it does not coincide with Trumpian or MAGA messaging.

MAGA is crossing the line from rational, responsible leadership into Orwellian territory where 'double-think' and 'double-speak' will be increasingly necessary to accept what is happening right in front of our eyes.
