A standard Real ID drivers license does NOT inherently show citizenship, as it primarily proves lawful presence in the United States, which includes legal residents. Only certain Enhanced Driver's Licenses (EDL) from a few states (Michigan, MN, NY, VT, Washington show citizenship.
