A couple months back, when I was getting that profile art done, I gave Destiny an idea for a depiction of a climatic scene from the Murder Drones story I'm writing. The rest is history.

And that's the worst aspect of it. In doing everything they can to protect and help her, they make her hate and distrust them even more. How do you help someone who thinks you're hurting them?
It's this horrible cycle that slowly drags them all down into damnation and it's NONE OF THEIR FAULTS.

That's the bitterest pill to swallow while reading the story. You want there to be some magical switch that fixes all of this. But there is NO right answer to this.
To help V is to hurt her. And hurting her makes her push them away even more.
It's horribly real, and that's what makes it so hard.

I find it bleak that ChatGPT now has more users than Wikipedia. Many people would rather be spoon-fed information by a machine than read and research for themselves. Tech isn't just making us dumber. Worse than that: it's killing curiosity itself and the desire to learn.
