One of our neighbors has lots of the human size skeletons and has put a new scene up every weekend. It's currently a wedding!

8 skeletons dressed as a bride and groom and wedding party with guests sitting on hay bails observing the ceremony.

The remaining staff named it Prof Phurlow. It was safely captured and transported to a new location off campus by our natural resource officers. But it's memes continue on the faculty teams and are lightening our hearts.

I've been living through this hellscape called military academia... The highlight of the semester was that after they furloughed our civilians and I was teaching ~120 cadets biology, a raccoon snuck into one of our large auditoriums on the 2nd floor and evaded capture for 3 days.

I accidentally got in a fight on a random reddit post and the person still doesn't believe you can get pulled over for not having a registration sticker because "most if not all" don't even have those anymore... I'm trying not to continue to feed my rage monster...

I got two new babies. One of them has a case of the pasty butt. Hopefully she pulls through but she's small and her poor butt keeps crusting over...

The previous are now essentially teenagers and will be moving outside soon.

Hundreds of millions of bees, almost 80% of bees in the US, have died over he past eight months. Researchers don't know why.

Here is what this means:

Bees play a critical role in U.S. food production. In addition to making honey, they pollinate 75% of the fruits, nuts and vegetables grown in the U.S.
That's $15 billion worth of crops. Shook said the current losses are unsustainable.
"If this is a multi-year thing, it'll change the way we consume food in the United States," Shook said. "If we lose 80% of our bees every year, the industry cannot survive, which means we cannot pollinate at the scale that we need to produce food in the United States."
