The rain will likely come in waves with the heaviest round coming during the night Saturday into Sunday morning. About 1-3 inches of rain will be possible by Sunday evening. #ARwx

WEEKEND RAIN🌧️ Scattered showers are likely on Saturday, but some of the heaviest, most persistent rainfall now appears to come through overnight Saturday into Sunday.

While some spots may dodge the heaviest rain, most of us will likely see about 1-3 inches of rain by Sunday evening. #ARwx

12:20 PM UPDATE - Showers have made it farther east than once thought.. And even though some is not reaching the ground, it's still keeping temps on the cooler side.

We may struggle to make it very far into the 60s this afternoon... And the cool, damp weather sticks around this weekend! #ARwx

Clouds gradually move in overnight into Friday morning, keeping temps a bit milder than recent nights... Then we're mostly cloudy on Friday.

Temps will be cooler in northwest AR Friday as scattered showers move in... But we stay dry across most of the state, warming temps into the 60s & 70s. #ARwx

FIRST FROST? 🥶 After weeks of warmer-than-average temps, there are finally signs of a chill on the way! Models hint that we could dip into the mid and upper 30s by next Thursday.

TROPICAL UPDATE🌀 Tropical Storm #Melissa will likely become a hurricane over the weekend, perhaps slowly taking aim on Jamaica as a Cat 4 early next week.

This could bring devastating flooding with 1-2 feet possible across Jamaica, parts of Cuba, Haiti and the D.R. #tropics

DREARY WEEKEND AHEAD🌧️ A few stray showers are possible Friday, mainly across northern Arkansas. But our best rain chances arrive Sat.

Rain could be heavy at times, though severe weather isn’t expected. Temps stay cool in the mid to upper 60s for much of the day. Some rain lingers into Sunday. #ARwx

We're in for another mostly clear night across much of Arkansas, along with chilly temps... Most will drop into the upper 40s, but most likely in the low-50s for the Metro.

Then we warm all the way into the upper 70s to lower 80s with sunshine on Thursday... Rain returns this weekend! #ARwx

COLDER TONIGHT🥶 Our first bona fide cold front has finally arrived, and we're in for the coldest night of the season so far.

By Monday morning, we'll likely be in the mid and upper 40s! Temps will warm into the upper 70s by afternoon, then another cold front arrives by mid-week. #ARwx
