Sound Transit will operate special Sounder train service for ALDS Game 5 on Friday, departing Lakewood at 2:11 p.m. and Everett at 2:45 p.m., and leaving 45 minutes after the game ends. Regularly scheduled 4:55 trains to Lakewood and 5:15 to Everett will be canceled to accommodate service.

Seattle scientist and UW alum Mary Brunkow of the Institute for Systems Biology is one of three recipients of the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, for "discoveries concerning peripheral immune tolerance," announced Monday.
