ooh I know a classic white sheet ghost with eyeholes, but there's a third hole in the neck

Man, right wing crackpots are upset about the Charlie Kirk death. I guess I can understand, being rage baited bye the mocking of a death.

Anyway. Let's move on to an entirely unrelated topic. What Halloween costumes are people thinking about this year?

I feel like you think this makes you come across like George Carlin. But it makes you come across like Tim Allen.

I'm realizing that the admittedly cool baselines in both songs are veeeeeeeery similar.

There's a really strong argument that the answer is in this post.

weird we've known each other since we were two years old, huh?

It's a deeply GenX trait, I'm afraid. One of the many reasons we suck, really.

The important fact here is that Iron Maiden has a song titled "Stranger in a Strange Land" that is not about Stranger in a Strange Land, and a song about Dune that is not titled "Dune."

It’s the reason I don’t have the back pains it seems like most people my age have.

I'm a Gen X aged hard rock fan and there's a 90s coming-of-age movie, with a very popular soundtrack full of classic rock, which made stars of several Gen Xers, named after a Led Zeppelin song, and that I've never seen.

I’ve been starstruck exactly twice. One was Lou Reed, who I did not bother. The other was Kate Nelligan, who I did. Gushing over the 1979 Dracula movie.

The tagline should’ve been “Dracula is back, and this time he fucks!”

Due to the nature of time, the 1979 Frank Langella Dracula was the first one I ever saw. So it always hasn’t always well have a special place in my cold dead heart.

Derek Jacobi tells me it was the Earl of Oxford who really drowned those birds.

It would be awesome if it’s scared away the old lady who lives next-door, who subscribes to the New York Post and complaints about how I slam the door. IT’S AN AIR CURRENT, DOLORES. I KEEP THE WINDOW OPEN BECAUSE I NEED TO FEEL THE MOON’S CARESS.

A neighbor down the hall just moved out yesterday, which means the building will be showing that apartment this month. Prospective neighbors will get to see my Halloween wreath. My hope is that this will scare away anyone I wouldn’t want living nearby anyway.

This is what I thought adulthood was gonna be like.

I had to wait about an hour, but I got tickets for the Detroit show with Iggy Pop! Which means I have to fly to Detroit. Worth it.
johnacecil.bsky.social
Seeing them in Detroit because Iggy Pop's the opener.

She also has a song called Pepsi Cola.

You know, cuz she's a pop singer.

Yes but when people disappear from a camp where they have been concentrated, secret flights actually isn't the worst thing on the table.

Gordon Lightfoot is so Winter it beggars belief.

The Cult are, and I think we can all agree, September: Not exactly summer, not quite Autumn.
