Scientific words are a 50/50 crapshoot in Spelling Bee. No rhyme or reason to which are accepted and which are not.

The illusion of three dimensions Adams creates by placing Tasmia's back in the extreme foreground is pretty masterful.

Please don't mess this up, DC. But who am I kidding, I'll read this Legion book no matter how good or bad it is.

Yeah, I don't know how so many artists hit their monthly deadlines, but I really don't know how Perez did it, given the detail he poured into every panel.

Nick Cardy was such a great cover artist

The only artist John meshed with better than he meshed with Trimpe was his sister

I guess it's DC Infinite and Marvel Unlimited 👀

I'll definitely pick up the trade or read it on DC Unlimited

Instead of repeating that this is the best title in a loaded DC lineup, I'll say that it has become first title I reach for when I get a new batch of books in the mail to read.

I tend to think of Bullseye as a Frank Miller creation, yet of course he had been around for a while before that

With each passing year, Herb Trimpe's art grows in my estimation. I think Trimpe saw himself not as a force of nature like Jack Kirby, but more as just a guy doing a job for the House That Jack Built, but Trimpe had his own powerful thing going on. The Severins were great collaborators for him.

I'd been hearing good things about this, so I ordered the tpb … and then the book promptly got canceled. Comics are like that, most great series or runs are living on borrowed time, but this is well done, a modern update on the socially conscious '70s GL/GA that's arguably better than its model.
Green Arrow: Freshwater Kills trade paperback, by Chris Condon, Montos, and Adriano Lucas.

I'd say that the Warlord story suffered from being forced into the supernatural theme of the larger book, but better a weak Halloween Warlord story than no new Warlord story at all.

I liked the Zatanna and Raven stories, although both were slight, but, as you note, at least they looked good. I was pleasantly surprised to get any new Warlord story at all, but thought that the Warlord story could have been better.

New DC Finest books just keep on coming. The Kirby title notably includes contemporary Fourth World-adjacent issues of Lois Lane - I like this wide net approach to curation. The Robin book also looks like it spans different eras of Robin's history.
DC Finest: Fourth World: When the Old Gods Die by Jack Kirby DC Finest: Robin: The Origin of Robin by Mike Friedrich and John Broome DC Finest: Team-Ups: The Impossible Escape by Bob Haney, Arnold Drake, Neal Adams, and Jim Aparo DC Finest: Sgt. Rick: The Rock of Easy Co. by Robert Kanigher

I wouldn't go so far as to say that none of those three believe what they write. I'd just rather read that point of view from David Frum or someone else who can articulate it coherently, without stooping to Douthat's dumbo biblical exegesis to justify his reactionary thought.
