The Twins are ahead of the curve, that's why they got rid of all of theirs

Respectfully Ken, you can't logic or argue one's sports fandom- but I won't pretend the Mariners aren't my second favourite team either. That being said, regardless if the Mariners or Jays advance, and whether it's in the NLCS or World Series we can all agree that we want someone to beat the Dodgers

The weird gidp on the dodgers was kind of fun, at least..

Nah; unless Gausman was going to hit some runs in himself

Hypothetically if every local government in southern Vancouver island were to amalgamate, it seems like you'd need to develop a ward system of some kind to ensure there is local representation for each community with their unique needs, which seems to similar to the current system already in place
johnquissy.bsky.social
Especially considering how many of the smaller jurisdictions rely on volunteer fire fighters - if they were all the sudden amalgamated, it would seem unfair to pay some and not others.
johnquissy.bsky.social
I'm not sure if that is too many; isn't it commonplace for each fire station to have a fire chief? I can't imagine closing fire stations would make sense and I'm not sure if there is major inefficiencies or problems currently
johnquissy.bsky.social
I'm not sure what benefits there are that couldn't be addressed in any other way. I'm relatively agnostic, with skepticism that amalgamation doesn't solve as much as it's suggested, but if there are clear and obvious things it solves, then why can't they be implemented in current system?
johnquissy.bsky.social
But conversely, would amalgamation reduce the investment in those fire departments etc? On one hand that seems like a lot of fire departments but on the other hands, I don't know what the optimum number of fire departments is

And also... I know you are, but what am I? 😂

lol - cry more insecure little guy - buy chill with the xenophobia and misogyny, and also chill on projection - I'm a super happy guy - but if happiness and fulfillment make you said - go off king
johnquissy.bsky.social
But also, all kidding aside, you're projecting your insecurities to hide something.
Bring this up in the next therapy session - it's not cute

I know you are but what am I?
johnquissy.bsky.social
I'm sorry; but misogyny on top of xenophobia is a double bad look, "bro"
johnquissy.bsky.social
Here I thought the tigers were a class beneath the jays - but turns out Yanks are a class beneath tigers, Mariners and Jays
johnquissy.bsky.social
Yeah it's not new to anyone who has watched some Jays games
johnquissy.bsky.social
Miss me with the xenophobic shit; umps had some problems not considering but don't be a turd about it. Also, he's one of your own, from Florida no less, the antithesis of Canadian 😂

Knee confusion for the fans

Me, a Blue Jays fan who has been constantly surprised and pleased by their performance all year: "I hope something good happens"
johnquissy.bsky.social
And if we beat the Mariners, we are taking the Frazier theme song! 🫡
johnquissy.bsky.social
I agree with this mostly, but as a jays fan I'd replace "fun" with "tire themselves out so that they need a 100 year nap"
