Yep. Pretty sure it happened around 2015 or so. I left a fairly sane place with Obama as POTUS and ended up in a place best described as "the Omen movie series but the AntiChrist is an orange moron."
Just bought it in paperback, which should arrive Nov. 3. I also picked it up on KindleUnlimited because I have pathetic will power and NEED to read it nowish. Except not now because I have job interview so I can get money to throw at you for more books.
See as a Star Trek fan, I want machines and AI to help us do the drudgery tasks so we can make art (and/or do weird sex stuff in the Holodeck). I don't want AI to do art so we can do more drudgery tasks.
How many beta-readers/edit helpers do you need? I helped Delilah Waan with Supplicant and also did a lot of the editing on the last three Vulcanverse game books.
I'm eager to read the next Fred but deeply sad that it will be the last Fred. Unless there's a new series that maybe follows Sally in the same world. I WAS A MIDDLE SCHOOL DRAGON, anyone?
Monster House is awesome! It came out at the same time as Lady in the Water. LitW had adults fighting evil with love the power of friendship. MH had kids fighting with an excavator and dynamite. MH for the win.
The Cybertruck looks like a vehicle used by the government thugs in a dystopian YA novel. It's something that Katniss Everdeen should destroy with dynamite arrows.
Illegals can get "free healthcare" in terms of being treated at emergency rooms without having to prove they can pay first. This is because that's true for everyone. That means that when you have a heart attack, you don't have to hope you have your insurance card before they try to save your life.
HBOMAX's "Harley Quinn" had a subplot where the Joker was elected Mayor of Gotham City. I think I'd prefer the Joker as POTUS to the vicious, stupid clown we have now.
