I know some plants need really fresh seeds. I could never grow parsnip but after buying good quality seeds and using them early, I found it wasn't me at all!
I hope you post a picture if you get success ❤️
An intriguing novel and a good one to snuggle up under a blanket with!
Reading - you can't beat it ❤️

Gardening bag in a bookshop?
Paradise!
Had a lovely chat with the Dillons crew about my book sales. Signed copies with a free bookmark. Pleased to be stocked in this lovely shop.
I've spent hours here even before I was published!

Funny you say that. I could not grow nasturtiums. Then I gave my kid some seeds and hey presto, nasturtiums!
Now they grow everywhere, and I end up pulling them off other plants. Great material for the compost bin at that point.
That variegated leaf is gorgeous.
Good luck with yours! ❤️
These colourful nasturtiums are changelings!
When first planted nasturtiums are often orange & yellow. As they reseed they take on colours from pale yellow through to deep red. I haven't seen these multicoloured ones before.
What a treat!

I like Vanessa Greene's work, so I borrowed a few from the library. Love the gorgeous cup!

Did you know authors get royalties from library borrowings?
It's a great way to get our work out in the community but still get paid for our contribution.

Today's blog is up
Treasure in the garden is a little piece about just how much we can fit onto a suburban block!
If you want a challenge, you can count the weeds in this picture.
But you can see the path. A little!

Family, friends, books and gardening - the cornerstone of a good life.
Here's a pretty daisy from a friend's donated cutting, growing happily in front of a compost bin in our front yard. Both are playing their part in our ecosystem ❤️

My friend wrapped a present up in this lovely fabric & I couldn't resist using it as a backdrop for my book with those lovely pink carnations.
The flowers have withered but I'm growing some for the first time ever. I'm not a quitter!
Can't wait to see their colours.

I saw this gorgeous lily on a walk recently. Just growing next to a carpark footpath.
Nature doing what nature does best ❤️

Oh yeah. I have cabinets full of cups & saucers, mugs, teapots, sugar bowls, milk jugs ...
Tea and books! Who could ask for anything more?

These pretties were outside Dymocks Hyde Park this week. I think they are alstroemeria? I have an apricot coloured version in my back garden, with much thanks to my SIL ❤️
So gorgeous.

Spotted these beautiful roses on a lovely sunny walk.
I love roses, especially when someone else grows them!
So cheery ❤️

"Reading is a staple of life, like bread or water ... or chocolate."
Saw this at Dymocks Hyde Park today and I absolutely agree!
Thanks to the marvellous staff there for stocking #thefeministearthmotherpartygirl
I hope readers are enjoying it with bread, water ... or chocolate!

These beautiful pink carnations were begging me for a photo with my books.
Happy to oblige 💕

They are such a happy colour of pink, I keep smiling at them now in their little vase on my sink-top.

Time to grab a cuppa & head off to my blog.
Episode 3 of Because Life lands today ❤️
Leisha was an amazing character to write. She's smart, funny & bends rules to suit herself.

Happy reading!

I got this big beautiful bunch of flowers after my talk at West Torrens library. Such a lovely surprise ❤️ They had a marvellous pink theme to them too!
Here I am with the wonderful Hanna, who organised my talk. Always pleased to meet fellow booklovers! 🥳

Don't you love nature?
These three dandelions were enjoying the sunshine in a field of weeds. I appreciate their enthusiasm as well as their prettiness ❤️

I love the pinks of this geranium. Isn't it gorgeous? It reminds me of the colour of #thefeministearthmotherpartygirl
