Yes, it might have been thought to be a little cowardly. But endorsing the Conservatives' Brexit deal was even more cowardly. (Except for the large chunk of Labour MPs who genuinely supported it).

Starmer voted in favour of the Conservative Brexit deal, along with nearly all of Labour. They didn't even abstain and let it pass with Conservative votes. They went "Yes, please!"
