Yeah add in PR, managers, etc who do the businesses, the ever stirring media and it's a fiasco. I met Tiffany years ago and that's what happened with her and Debbie Gibson even tho they had 2 different fan bases.

Plus not every artist will attract the same crowd. Granted like Gaga or Kylie when 99.9% are gay fans, I also think each fan base same room to differ. This happened in the 80s and 90s too and didn't end well.
