One eye is just visible and their beak is angled up, like they’re trying to peek over the wall. Their head is covered in tiny fluffy white feathers and the adorable tiny black spots that very young gull chicks have. The top of another chick’s head and half of an eye is nestled right next to the more visible chick. The pattern and color of their feathers, eyes, and beak make them blend in incredibly well with the colors of the worn stone wall they’re nested on. Behind them is another gray stone wall. They blend in so well, that I didn’t realize I had captured the chicks in the photo until I looked at it later on a larger screen- and it took even longer for me to realize there were two chicks and not just one.
