Especially as the worldwide web was invented by British computer scientist Sir Tim Berners-Lee.

Says another American who's missed the point.
Are you happy with Musk spreading misinformation about the UK in spite of his own AI questioning his expertise?
jphendo.bsky.social
But it's OK for Musk to not only spread misinformation about the UK but to financially back right wing agitators here.

The website has an odd mix of kits unchanged for 60yrs and fine detail new ones. What I find odd is the old 1:76 scale military vehicle kits (model railway OO guage) are still there but all the newer ones are 1:72 to match the aircraft kits. They do some interesting looking 1:48 scale aircraft now.

Airfix did a model of that yellow Auster.

I was given some motoring maps and an odd tax disc dropped out that had been issued in France in the early 50s. I sent it to Beaulieu Motor Museum who said it was a disc to show you'd paid French road tax as a tourist. From the car's reg number they found it was issued for a Jaguar XK120 sports car.

A known criminal with a record for fleeing the country to avoid court trying to leave the country in a Bentley he doesn't own while carrying more than £13k in cash sounds like much more than a flimsy reason for wanting to check his phone.

Wonder where the myth of helmets equipped with handles to assist your enemy in battle came from. Give one of those horns a good whack with a blunt instrument and you'd spin his head off.

UK gun laws mean we can't buy 9mm pistol ammo let alone the 76mm shells for the uprated gun in that Sherman Firefly.

One thing not said in many prostate screening stories is how you can ask your GP for the prostate blood test. At my surgery I didn't even have to see a doctor: while at the surgery my wife asked reception what I needed to do, they put the request through and I picked up the blood test form next day.

Nobody will bother going to see the tapestry now you've posted such an amazing reconstruction.

Bluesky would probably block a nude Playmobil character as "adult content".

That's been there since at least March 1974 because BEA ceased operations when British Airways was born on April 1 that year.
Might be worth offering it to an aviation museum because that's the sort of ephemera that rarely survives. There's a BEA Vanguard at IWM Duxford so they might be interested.
jphendo.bsky.social
No, I'm asking if that's what you mean.

So you see nothing wrong with AI invented data adding to all the misinformation out there?

Wondering how they think you might run a just-in-time supplied car production line using pen and paper. A barcode on the car body issues component orders as it's launched onto the line, with some things, like upholstery, being made specially for that car. Are they supposed to do that with letters?
jphendo.bsky.social
What? Surely you want to find genuine data, not invented data, unless you're the American health secretary.

If you don't like the Google AI search results take a look at this. I've set it up on my Android tablet and it appears to work.
jphendo.bsky.social
Thanks. Someone posted another link to an article that had been updated to include the link you've posted, which I used to set it up on my tablet.
jphendo.bsky.social
Thanks. Just had a look at that and set it up for my tablet to see how I get on. Your link now includes an update with a link to another site that gives step by step guides to do it on a variety of browsers and operating systems.

Doubt a rolled up Private Eye would even cause a cockroach to pause.

I suspect most academics care about accuracy rather more than software developers do.

We have an odd apple we've never been able to identify because all the events where you show an apple to an expert happen at this time of year and our oddity ripens in early August. It's infuriating because it seems to go straight from not quite ripe to rotting on the tree. Birds and wasps like it.
