oh this is one of our household favorites haha! Robert Englund always has fun as Freddy, but he’s on a whole other level in that movie.

(Also absolutely WILD to see that movie with a majority pro-Jason crowd, when we saw it last year at our local cinema’s horror night, it was a big Freddy crowd)

I think part of it is zombie movies often want to place themselves in realism, where the vampire genre doesn’t feel they need to necessarily? Like zombie movies are always trying to come up with explanations for the zombie outbreak (rabies mutation, fungi infection, etc.)
