As people deny #climatechange, NYC's Climate was officially changed in 2020. It's like New Yorkers got up & walked a couple hundred miles south

Yesterday's weather is our climate now. We must:

1) adust infrastructure & communications
2) adopt policies to slow down the change

Tragically, two people were killed when basements flooded in yesterday's rainstorms. We pray for their families.

As weather crises become more frequent, we need new ways to alert New Yorkers to danger and get them to safety, while adapting our infrastructure to prevent this devastation.

Almost a week ago, in NYC. There was nothing AT ALL happening at Canal St that warranted this kind of reckless response and resources from the federal government!

Sadly, even today some actually believe there was. How authoritarians takes hold. Excusing behavior 'til the unacceptable is accepted

This morning's immigration court proceedings ended with one family intact, and a father able to go home to his children.

It was one good morning out of many. We hope tomorrow will be, too—and that more New Yorkers will join in our court watch efforts to support and bear witness.
