Good question - have recently found myself in the midst of familial responsibilities and while the tailspin can be real, reminding myself to just do the next right-ish thing has been huge. No one comes into hard situations with all the answers. Gotta trust your own judgement

Heck yeah! I'm terrible at skipping steps, I haven't even done a marathon yet technically lol. I'm aiming for at least two 25k events before I go for the 50k this year. Last year was humbling

Same. I remind myself that these guys are like the pro DH MTB folks I watch - most ppl would be dead if they crashed like the pros. I imagine these folks are made of the same tough stuff.

As a trail runner who's main hold up is my head game (baby's first DNF at my 50k attempt taught me that), I can't FATHOM what these athletes are going thru out there. Sure we all sign up for the things but jfc.

We are 36 hours into the race, meaning the three runners still on Loop 3 cannot continue to Loop 4. However, if they complete Loop 3 within 40 hours they will be credited with a Fun Run. That’s where the real race is now. #BM100
