My grandma got married to the love of her life in her 40s, my mom is getting married to the love of her life as she turns 50. My aunt got her masters degree close to 60. My aunt (that I forementioned) just bought her first house at 38 🥳

And that’s why I’m apart of the minority of people who actually loves getting older. I want to get older. I don’t wanna be 17 forever. High school was not my prime. I don’t wanna be young and naive forever when I can be wiser and successful 🥺

I just keep getting better and better with age.

My aunt who’s 11 years older than me, gosh I love her so much. She made being in her twenties look like sooooo much fun! When I was 12-15 she was 23-26, going out with her friends, having a job, getting her first apartment 🥺

I didn’t care that my life sucked… I wanted to get to my twenties to LIVE

My childhood was not that bad. It’s just… the bullying almost made me suicidal & the only thing that made me keep going was the idea that it would get better when I’m older. I had hope that my life would be better…

Adulthood seemed like the best escape.

I realized that I’ve subconsciously associated liking someone with the feeling of embarrassment bc when I was younger… kids teased me and pulled pranks on me when they found out I had a crush on someone.

It was so embarrassing & its had an effect on me subconsciously
