Is Bluesky really all that? I never got Twitter, so I don't know what I'm comparing it to. Who's worth following? I seem to be following, & followed by, a lot of sex workers, which: fine, they need to get the word out, there's a living to make, but I was looking for political content. Suggestions?

The 3 AM guy got up early tonight - 11PM, NYC time - to tell me that he supports Joe Biden’s preemptive pardoning of anyone at risk of Trump’s vengeance; and he is sure that “if my thought dreams could be seen,” Trump would “probably put my head in a guillotine.” (Apologies to Bob Dylan.)

X is filled - my feed, anyway, is filled - with Trump fans sharing lies with each other, and heaping hatred and abuse on trans women. (Trans men don't appear to worry them.) It's overwhelming. I choose to stay there and clap back at their lies. Is that wrong of me? I can't believe what they believe.

So Trump nominates, as Treasury Secy, Scott Bessent, gay guy with a husband & 2 kids, like Pete. Will the Trumpies post anti-gay memes about him? Does God only hate Democratic f**s?

PS: *BUT*: re. Matt Gaetz: There is still a report that we, the taxpayers, paid for, because Representatives work for us, they are our proxies in Congress, that's what "representative democracy" means; and: we have the right to see the contents of the Gaetz report. Whether he's gonna be AG or not.

The headline is misleading. The Committee made no decision. They will meet again on December 5th to decide. That's what news reports said yesterday, anyway.

Praise to all who called the House Ethics Committee to demand release of the report on Matt Gaetz. He has withdrawn from consideration to be DT's AG. We still need to see the report, though, as the Committee is doing the taxpayers' work in our stead, which is what "representative government" means.

The Ethics Committee did *not* come to agreement about releasing the Gaetz report, despite what their GOP Chair said. They are meeting again December 5th. In the meantime, call the Committee, demand the report's release:
