I dream of having enough money to rent a cabin somewhere outside a big city, where it's cool/cold, mountainous, there's water to look at, & I can spend a lot of time exploring both city and country by myself. Drinking coffee alone. Having dinner alone. Shopping alone. Lately it's all I think about.

My phone and iPad and being out of steady work for two years has ruined my concentration. I'm working on this website for a client in ten minute blocks because after that my brain just GIVES UP.

When I got one earlier this year, an oil change with car wash/detailing was $70. Now at the same place it's $99. It's insanity. I don't understand how business expect to sustain these prices.

My problem with cop shows is that they hardly ever show a suspect saying they want an attorney before answering questions in a room and if/when they do it’s presented as something shady and the attorney is always portrayed as either snooty and stuck-up or bumbling and foolish.

I went to the eye doc a couple of weeks ago and got a new prescription. Ordered glasses online from my usual place. They are blurry as hell. Everything within 5 feet of me is blurry. I have to use my old glasses to look at my laptop or iPad. The new glasses are only good for watching tv or driving.

I tried the Reggie chicken sandwich at Dripp Donuts here in Shreveport. Reggie is their mild sauce—they glaze the chicken with it. I did not care for it. Too vinegar-y. Next time I’ll get the unglazed one. Once again I was given the dregs of the fry basket. A bunch of little one inch fries.

I've only missed two elections since I turned 18: one because I had the flu and couldn't get out of bed, and one because I had been working three jobs for weeks and genuinely didn't know there was an election that day because all I did was work and sleep.

Looking at my charts on Mochi, I gained and lost the same 3 pounds for six weeks, from mid-August through all of September. Thrilled to finally be losing again. Was it the change of injection site that got me past the stall? Was it the increase in protein? Who the fuck knows?
