The day they manage to shove AI training down my throat at work is the day Skynet goes active. "Right then! You will now push shopping carts to the front of the store using AI!" There are days I love having a physical, 'unskilled' job.

My best guess is that it's an extremist reaction to people like my Dad who will cheerfully recite 'TRUE!History' that he learned from his social media that he clearly hasn't researched at all. Which doesn't make it okay, but with black and white thinking taking over... 🙄

Okay, NOTHING is better than bougie English hotels - at least not that I've found. Especially their bathtubs! It may only be a luxury for tall people, but a tub deep enough that you don't need to decide which body part is sticking out of the water? BLISS!

I have been thoroughly INFORMED that not only can people from the US drive to Central America, we do it all of the time. Perfectly reasonable with an average amount of vacation time and pay.

Yesterday we finally got to give my cousin's daughter her birthday presents. It's a good thing I saved HtbW for last! She opened it, read the back, flipped through it, and straight up said "Yeah, I'm out!" before going over and crashing on the sofa to read. I'm sure she finished by bedtime.

The ones I love are the set of Europeans who think we should be able to teach ourselves True World History from Wikipedia, but are unable to look at a map and figure out that there are only two other countries we have a prayer of traveling to without a plane.
