In NYC, the crisis at Rikers is worsening. 12 people have died in city jails this year & at least 45 people have died since Eric Adams became mayor in 2022. #ShutRikers

It is clear that the SCOC is not meeting there mandate to ensure all local jails & state prisons – are “safe, stable, and humane."
