That might be the case in BC, I wouldn’t know; but here in AB, the charter/private system is being built to very deliberately squeeze the life out of public education.

The petition put forward by that teacher is brave and necessary and it’s a mischaracterization to suggest otherwise, in my opinion.

So now, I’m paying to subsidize the tuition for a bunch of wealthy parents and line the pockets of these schools’ CEOs (yes, they have CEOs) rather than my public tax dollars going to fund the public education system that my own kid and half a million other kids are a part of.
