How about some spiky spiders tonight? This one is Micrathena acuta, a spiny orbweaver found in the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest. It is believed that the spines serve as a defense from birds and even predatory wasps.

Two chaps out walking, prob late 20’s, said ‘hey bro how’s it going’? Great, thanks I said…a nod.
Later, couple with dog, chap said ‘hey mate, are you a volunteer’? No, I said, I get paid by Forest England, to keep things tidy. Oh mate, nice!
