To clarify the vague phrasing: MaRo is just stating that Commander Precons like the Commander 2013-2018 product releases are not going to be returning. This is something we've known for ages. Instead, the Precons will be tied to set releases, like they have been for years now.

This with the new Sabé leader is sweet. Trigger Sabé first, discard the card you don't want to play, then trigger Obi Wan and play the card you put back on top

My hope is that this is the ninjutsu effect they'll use for non creature spells, but they'll still use ninjutsu proper for creatures.

Yeah, the cloud layers were a lot of it, and then with the frame being replaced by the New Capenna gilded frame it just didn't use many

This is a really cool design. Dump your high cost cards to ambush out your early plays, then deploy and dump your early cards to ambush out your 6- and 7-drops

I've been very clear that I'm just kinda tired of the current MTG zeitgeist, and even I'm starting to tone down my negativity for fear of strengthening that toxic side of the community.

My concern is that you could easily just build a modern commander deck that doesn't use UB and almost nobody will notice, but once you *announce* that you've avoided UB, you start virtue signaling to some very toxic attitudes in the fringes of our community who are getting real loud about UB hate

I'm curious! Is there enough frustration with Universes Beyond (or, alternatively, affection for Magic's own IP) that there is a real audience for a "Commander Within" variant? Would you actually prefer gameplay and deckbuilding without UB?
