utawarerumono 2/3 and spice & wolf both do the thing I hate where the main two characters are shown explicitly stating (with disgust/disdain) that they don't see each other as a possible romantic target whatsoever. which I love.
and then eventually they kiss. which I don't.

which is also featured in games I love such as lamento (the entire plot is leaks throwing a gay mournful fit wanting to destroy the world in his grief) and tox2 (the alt ending of ceasing the plot and killing all your friends, bc the alternative of sacrificing your beloved brother is unthinkable)
