The more I think about it, the more angry I get. It's not just that Ranma is a dumb teenager who doesn't know how to regulate his emotions. It's the raw, unjustifiable sexism presented so matter-of-factly as to make that kind of violence seem inevitable, to the audience if not to Ranma.

That first scene in Doctor Tofu's office was incredible, magical even, two people trying to figure out what being in love means when they can scarcely articulate their attraction to themselves, much less each other.

Then this sequence comes in and takes a giant eggy dump all over that.
