Sometimes I need to pinch myself to ensure I'm not dreaming about living here. 🛶🌊🏖️☀️
Thankfully I have a plethora of other Grammars I can check if I'm not tracking with Mounce. It would be a lot easier if I wasn't doing Hebrew at the same time 😁.
I was never based in a school, we only visited when needed so that helped!
Isle of Lewis, so not far off. I used to work a lot in the southern isles like South Uist and it's lovely down there. Where are you from?
How much do you need for the winter months?
I know what you mean, there's something magical about an open fire.
That's great to hear. I hope you get on well with them. I think I have about ten different Greek Grammar books. If I don't understand in one, I always find something in the others to help. How far did you get with each language?
Someone is after something 🐕🐶
It's that time of year again 🔥
No better way to spend a Saturday night 😁
Highland Theological College in Dingwall. I'm really enjoying it there and have just started year two of my part time degree.
Greek translation work and F1 qualifying. I know how to spend a Saturday night!
Great question. I'm really not sure. I don't feel called into ministry so I will see where it leads to.
Great news! Haha, a very wise move I'd say 😊
When will you be ordained for ministry do you think? Do you get seconded to a parish?
That's good going! Are you thinking of continuing with Greek? We have used the Mounce Grammar which has its good and bad points. Overall it's pretty good though.
That sounds great. I am having to fund all my student fees as I work full time. 😞 How did you get on with Greek?
Nice, that takes the pressure right off you which is great. We have four assessments then an exam. 😵‍💫 I've submitted two assessments so far. I drove myself insane listening to an alphabet song on repeat, but it really did help to make it stick! How are you finding the vowels?
That's really good. Our lecturer has done something similar in providing a PDF for us to work from. I got a couple of extra Hebrew Grammars just to help me learn. We are six weeks in with two 1 hour lectures a week. Do you have any exams or is it continual assessments?
Have pity on me, I just turned 44 and have started learning it! How many weeks into the term are you? Are you using Van Pelt grammar?
