The real problem with energy has never been energy itself. Energy is fine. It's the best thing in the world. We need more of it. The problem with energy is how it's created. China is building massive renewable plants. But Trump is supporting more oil and gas plants.

If you're into conspiracies, you might even interpret the water thing as an astroturf by the oil and gas industry to distract from being the most problematic producers of energy. Datacenters need a lot of energy. Where are they going to get it in the US? Doesn't matter, look at the water use!

I think it needs to be mentioned again and again that the electricity consumption issue is very much real (And especially with future projections) but the water meme is an insane distraction that makes no sense.
