Since we lost Mowgli someone said we should consider getting a dog.

No disrespect to dogs but no.

I didn’t see it. Was it the news?

It all depends on the model they create.

Oh yes and I think they are here to stay. We had a fight with our conscience when our daughters were 11 because we were told they would almost certainly pass, so in the end we let them sit the exam. I personally benefitted when my school in Liverpool became a comprehensive when I was 12.

Polanski is currently riding high. She’ll burst his bubble if he’s not careful.

For those who don’t understand why they are not being given the COVID vaccine this year.

It is due to them switching the cost effectiveness model as they use to have more leeway. Now that isn't the case and so they only deem it worth the money for a narrower selection of the population. You can read more about it here: www.gov.uk/government/p...

We still have the 11 plus in Kent. Both daughters passed but it was a horrible time. Now our grandson is at the same stage and facing the prospect of not being with his friends next year. It’s very cruel.

I failed my 11 plus but went on to be a policy advisor to government ministers. One exam means nothing.

But with the added bonus of no state pensions or sickness related benefits paid.

A little tribute to Michele Hanson. A Guardian writer I adored. I remember her writing about her feet as unappreciated slaves. It was funny but after breaking my foot I realise she was absolutely right. Mine is mended now and will get due deference.

It assumes a false kinship. We are better than that.

Do I think flying the Union Jack is toxic?

Yes I do.

Our town has been ruined by it.

No disrespect to Chris Packham but am I the only one that has spotted a remarkable similarly to the Ed Guin actor?
