Hey there !

I have not forgotten to write devlogs. I'm simply focusing on the demo. I have a devlog 95% written, but I wanted to make progress on some little things in-game before discussing them.

Among them is accessibility, and boy, are there a looooooot of things to implement and correct.

Incredible to see the support coming from the Together for Palestine benefit concert.

"Relinquish an inch of your privilege, so that an entire people don't have to lose everything” - Francesca Albanese.

You can also support via our games charity bundle: itch.io/b/2979/play-...
With that, I'm going to have to change my profile picture to something else. Those placeholder cubes are no longer in the game. The end of an era.
A great bundle in support of Palestine and Gaza. Please check it out !
We're excited to announce the Games for Palestine charity page is now LIVE on Itch.

Over 300+ games with proceeds going to UNRWA USA in support of Gaza relief. Thank you to everyone for your support. The bundle launches on Sept 2nd 9am PST.

Never getting enough of the "How to do this thing in one minute in blender" which is actually a 10 minutes video sped up ten times.

What the hell ??? My cubes are slowly turning into small people. Very unsettling.
Stay tuned ! 2025-2026 is going to be very interesting for me and the game :)
I'm about to embark in a month-long holiday where I'll be working more on Khonsu Station. The program for august is :
- Working on the dialogues with my good friend @captainjim87.bsky.social
- Modelling the first NPCs
- Creating the first puzzles for chapter 2
- Updating the tutorials
- Bug solving
Anyway ! One year later, we have a 3D game with puzzles coming about, characters, a story, a lore that I really like (although it still a draft). I made contact with friends and artists to help me (payed of course !!) and I'm happy to be getting closer to a first demo every day.
That might sound strange (maybe not ?) but as a programmer, I find it easier to reason in 3D vertices/faces than with pixel art where each pixel matter, and color is a difficult thing to manage precisely. Especially for animated characters.
Finally the pixel art aspect started sounding too difficult for me. Making tilesets is one thing, but making characters with personality and animating them sounded way more difficult in 2D/pixel art than in 3D for me.
But also, my very first tests for gameplay were in 2D. I started designing some tilesets, and objects in pixel art, then incorporated some gameplay elements, borrowing some sprites from a little rpg of the snes (that I'm sure nobody will recognize).
Funnily enough, the first thing I worked on was a dialogue system ! I knew I wanted to do a puzzle game with sci-hi/horror elements. And I wanted to have something story driven, where there was some dialogue with no branching.

I loved the dialogue system of Disco Elysium and started copying it.
One more day before a month-long off work!

July marks the one year anniversary of Tourtour my first game (go and try it on itch, it's a stupid little tower defense : mdelorme.itch.io/tourtour)

It also marks the one year anniversary of me working on Khonsu Station.
