This may be uncomfortable to hear, but it’s essential to say clearly…there is no such thing as a “non-racist” white person.

Whiteness itself is not just a neutral identity.

It’s a social construct built historically in opposition to Blackness.

If your revolution requires the oppressed to once again prioritize the privileged,

if your “healing” requires us to silence our truth,

or make space for those who’ve yet to earn it…

then you’re not dismantling a system.

You’re just giving it a facelift.
kimcrayton1.bsky.social
generations of harm, while offering little more than words from those who caused it.

A revolution that centers the newly uncomfortable rather than the historically oppressed is not liberatory…it’s maintenance work for white supremacy.
kimcrayton1.bsky.social
But when “solidarity” becomes conditional on the comfort of those just now realizing the harm they helped sustain, it ceases to be solidarity…it’s white nonsense dressed up as progress.

This so-called Purple Revolution demands “empathy” from those who have already borne the weight of...

is not a revolution at all.

It’s a rebrand of the same violent ideology that continues to uphold the myth of white supremacy.

I understand the sentiment.

I know the desire for unity feels noble, even urgent.
kimcrayton1.bsky.social
Any revolution, purple or otherwise, that demands those impacted by harm extend the benefit of the doubt to or assume “positive intent” from those who championed, sanctioned, or ignored that harm, without observable contrition and a strategy for repair that doesn’t center them,

cycle of violence disguised as virtue will continue.

It’s how the myth of white male supremacy sustains itself, through the celebration of harm as history, and the erasure of those who suffer under it as collateral damage.

Until we dismantle that myth and stop mistaking peace prizes for PR campaigns then this...
kimcrayton1.bsky.social
then of course you’ll convince yourself you’re the protagonist in every story…even the ones written in blood.

This isn’t irony.

It’s the design.
kimcrayton1.bsky.social
That is the dangerous legacy of mediocrity:

a culture that confuses arrogance for vision,
cruelty for conviction,
and violence for peace.

And when you grow up believing that your harm will always be framed as “necessary,” “strategic,” or “heroic,”
kimcrayton1.bsky.social
When “greatness” is defined not by collective wellbeing or accountability, but by domination and myth-making.

When white men can wage war, literally and figuratively, and still be seen as benevolent leaders.
kimcrayton1.bsky.social
The height of the myth of white, mediocre male supremacy is believing, with your full chest, that you deserved a Nobel PEACE Prize while actively ticking off an enemies list.

This is what happens when power, privilege, and ego go unchecked.

I care about those who’ve been screaming the truth for decades…ignored, dismissed, and gaslit while you built empires on their labor and ideas.

White male mediocrity is not insight.

Your realization is not bravery.

And it’s still rooted in the same violence that got us here.
kimcrayton1.bsky.social
while everyone else has to clean up the mess.

I’m done with it.

I don’t care about your regret.

I care about the people who never had the luxury of pretending they didn’t know better.
kimcrayton1.bsky.social
and your delusional self-reflection as if it’s newsworthy,

as if you are the story worth telling.

This is not new.

It’s the same cycle we’ve been trapped in for generations.

White men fuck around, cause global harm, and then get handed a microphone to “process” it in public,
kimcrayton1.bsky.social
You chose arrogance because it was profitable.

You chose the myth of white male supremacy because it required nothing from you but the maintenance of your own mediocrity.

And yet, somehow, the media continues to center your feelings,

your “change of heart,”
kimcrayton1.bsky.social
and now want to regret their choices because “this is not what I voted for.”

Yes, it is.

This is exactly what you voted for.

You had access to data, research, staff, and information that most people will never have.

You chose strategic ignorance because it was comfortable.
kimcrayton1.bsky.social
I am so sick of public discourse defaulting to the opinions of uninformed, mediocre, unremarkable white dudes with platforms.

I don’t give a fuck about these “manosphere” weaklings or the political commentators who spent years championing white supremacist talking points...

What’s framed as a “professional network” is often just an online extension of our worst professional realities…white supremacy and anti-Blackness, coded to scale.
kimcrayton1.bsky.social
When “professionalism” is defined through the lens of whiteness, it becomes a tool for control, a way to make sure discomfort only flows in one direction.

This is not just tone-policing.

It enforces “community standards” that silence us while platforming white fragility and professional violence.
kimcrayton1.bsky.social
It’s a reminder that we’re still expected to be grateful for access to a table built on our exclusion.

My being a Black woman directly impacts how I show up and how I’m treated in professional spaces, including this one.
