Isn't CBS pretty much dead as a news organisation though? I mean, the right won't watch it or read it as it's not Fox or Newsmax and anyone who wants independent news will avoid it too now. Does it even have an audience?

It's a problem in all developed nations. Very few clothes are still made in Australia because people aren't willing to pay what it costs to produce clothing in a country with high wages. It's sad, but a reality.

I am desperately hoping the Nobel committee will award the Peace prize to USAID. While there are other worthy recipients this would be such a strong message to the likes of Musk and Trump just how important USAID was for millions around the world.

I heard a podcaster talk about soft secession, whereby the states stop paying taxes to the federal government. That's probably the best way forward. Stop the funding that goes to the federal government by the richest states (California, New York, Mass and others) and redirect that to blue states.
