tbh it makes me hopeful, in an odd way - magic IP can't fully die b/c they can't tie their entire schedule to 3rd party whims.

i don't mind the frame change (just wish it was for FIN and not fukken SPM), but 2026 will be a trying year. they've overextended, and i hope the data bears that out.

seven sets is actually fewer sets than we got in '23 and '24, but they killed reprint sets and crammed everything into standard so it just made the attention fatigue even worse. everything's new, everything matters. and a 4th ub set after "3 and 3 each year, we pwomise" is a kick in the teeth

in general i do not recommend having your tablet pen and also computer breaking and needing replacement, taking you out for several days. especially if you have an adhd-like brain that shrivels up and dies without momentum and turns those days into weeks
