That bird was the childhood dream of my late father since he read about it in a book.

He was an avid birder his whole life, and lived to see it - in Uganda.

Mum was nearly killed by Malaria she got on that trip, but hasn't been sick since then. She's the only person I know who never got Covid.

With that beak it looks to me like a young one from this year (they look like the females no matter the sex). The hook at the end and the beak overall need a bit of time to develop.
