This new medication for my eczema has increased my general QoL by like 40% but it makes my eyes really dry so I guess the actual increase is like 30%

BUT princession is good. i like the music/worldbuilding a lot and the art is pretty good.IMO some of the animation/designs aren't as good as other magical girl anime but i think it's nice to have something new since i feel like magical girl stuff has been pretty stagnant

yeah whenever I recommend precure to people I always have to give it with the caveat that its very heavy on gender conformity. and the few gnc characters that do exist are either given no agency and their personalities revolve entirely around others or they 'unlearn' their gender nonconformity 😭

honestly precure is super guilty to me LOL. ever since they collaborated with a makeup brand, they've been going hard on Selling Gender Roles. the one i'm talking about is princession orchestra...I'm not 100% happy with her transformation but i'm just glad she's going to be a major character soon

I need to read more honestly but if I ever find anything good I can give you a rec! I do think the change is more all-encompassing than we think since there's a princely girl in a kid's magical girl anime targetd to 4-5 year olds...i'm very used to there being no masc girls at all in those shows

it sucks so bad because with yuri manga publications specifically, editors will push all the time to make masculine and butch characters more feminine, so it's hard to find anything in mainstream publications 😭 i feel like there's been a shift somewhat recently but i hope it keeps changing
