Friend, I’ve been looking at it for like 3 years now. I finally did it about 2 months ago and it was so simple. My favorite feature is having it automatically flip on when I leave the house. So in reality I never have to engage with the app.

However, I kept up with it and later bought a NAS to expand my library. I use Tailscale as a VPN to access my music when I’m away. The Plex amp app is great and seamless. I paid for Plex, but there are other low-cost media management options. This is a condensed version of years-long project.

I started small by testing it on an old computer with Plex media server software and a music-filled hard drive. I did this to see if I’d be interested in and maintain it. I tend to pick up hobbies and abandon them quickly.

Listen to music intentionally. I have a home server with about a terabyte of music. I get lost in the music and albums. Even though I know the music, it’s always fun rediscovering old albums and songs.

Thanks man. I used to be heavy in fighting games like mortal Kombat, still am but after beating GoW Ragnarok, I tried my hand at RPG’s and open world RPG’s that was a game changer.

That part. I had a friend whose partner said they weren’t taking life seriously because they enjoyed playing video games. Absolutely not. As an ADHD kid, I can get lost in a video game and give my brain a rest from stress and let the problem solving side thrive for a bit.
