I have entered MAG Worlds QF data into my score tracker but I'm not updating the leaderboards until after worlds because that's a bit of a pain.

Yes. I don't think no medals for US wag is likely but it wont be a major haul.

For those of you who are curious, the last time US MAG won more worlds medals than US WAG was 1979. In 2001 they won the same number of medals though the US MAGs bettered in colors.

If someone had told me the us national champion would withdraw from worlds with an ankle injury minutes before competing I would not have guessed MAG.

I've entered what apparatus each athlete is doing from the MAG start lists for subs 1-6 on my score tracker. Look at the page that says 2025 Jakarta Athletes

"It's just podium training"

This is a good mantra for a lot of programs. It's nonsense for USA WAG at Worlds. It is the culture of the program to treat PT like competition. Yes it's better to mess up in PT than QF but they take it very seriously.

🇫🇷 Nicolas Diez was injured during Podium Training and has withdrawn from the world championships.

The French MAG team previously lost Cameron-Lie Bernard because of undisclosed personal reasons. No alternates were named. They are down to 4 gymnasts.

CAS has rejected the Israelis request for immediate action. Their ongoing case continues though. TLDR: Worlds will go on but the results may be annulled in 2026.

And about a 10% chance of them getting the results nullified at a later hearing if it goes through.

The lawyers I've been talking to practice in German speaking courts and basically tell me that an exceptional circumstance rule isn't a get out of jail free card for ignoring another clearly written rule.

I'd say we have a 90% chance of them getting immediate relief (canceled worlds)

I think people need to start processing that there is a very good chance that the Israeli CAS case results in worlds being canceled.

Minor update for the score tracker. I'm in the process of removing the non latin alphabet characters from most sheets because we're working on a project that needs to pull data from those sheets and it's messing with that. You can still find those names on the gymnast index

African continental Olympic quota will be allocated at the 2027 African Games. Because that didn't cause issues when PAGU did it in 2023... expect 2027 Pan Am Games to repeat as the Olympic qualifier.
